How long have you been in business?
Fry's Equine has been serving the horse industry since 1984.
What is your primary product or service?
Our focus is insurance policies for the horseman. Farm policies for those who own their property. Liability policies for those who are giving instruction, training, or running a boarding business (who don't own property or want to keep their house insured where it is). Stand-alone liability for shows, clinics, events. Mortality/Medical for their horses.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I have worked in this agency since 1993 when I came on board to help the previous owner Jim Fry (who founded the agency). In 2011 Jim decided to retire and I purchased the agency.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Our agency is specifically for the horseman. We want to provide the best policy that meets your particular needs. We aren't going to try to sell you coverage you don't need.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one location but we can serve people from across the nation. Most of our business is conducted via the phone and email. Visiting our website at www.FrysEquineInsurance.com will give you a lot of good information and you can always call us. We take the time to listen to your needs and answer your questions.
What type of payments do you accept?
Most of our policies have payment plans available and we can take checks over the phone or use your credit card.
Which areas do you service?
We write all over the United States and right here in Ohio.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Susan Strawser is the owner and President of Fry's Equine Insurance Agency Inc.
What are your hours of operation?
We are here on Monday-Thursday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and on Fridays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. We do provide an after-hours phone number and email if you need to reach us in the evening or on weekends.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
When one of my clients refer me to a friend or family member, that is the highest compliment for me. It tells me that you trust my agency to provide your friend or family with the same great service that I give you. It also says you know that I will be fair and honest with you.
What is your favorite quote or Bible verse?
Phillipians 2:6-11: Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
